With how good the Flames season is going I can understand increasing the urgency on trying to acquire that under 25 center and that result could be a more aggressive approach to acquiring that player and putting some assets on the table they otherwise wouldn’t want to. Trading assets you don’t want to for 1 playoff round during year 1 of the rebuild isn’t sticking to the plan. The plan is blown up and you will have to pick up the pieces and start all over again delaying everything.
