It’s been a few years since I’ve been in the area, but Bayonet and Blackhorse was a terrific 36 hole facility that was relatively cheap compared to the courses you have on the itinerary. I believe it has also hosted PGA Championship qualifier tournaments in the past. I’ve used those courses as “tune-ups” before playing pebble and couldn’t recommend them enough. They were in great shape every time I’ve played them and golfnow had good deals for around noon back in the day (pre-Covid). If you can fit an extra round there or pasatiempo like roughneck mentioned previously, that would make an already epic trip even more ridiculous.

For first time golfing the pebble resort courses, having caddies may be a good experience. I tried them and they were really helpful with reading greens, in particular, especially due to the significant grain present on the poa greens. I didn’t find they were that helpful on club selection, because the rangefinder did its job. Overall, although the caddies aren’t cheap, it ended up being a positive experience for me on my first visit.

Hope you enjoy this trip, it’s gonna be awesome!
