I think it's obvious that a big reason many here don't like Ron is because he's an unabashed Oilers fan and has gotten a bit extreme with his constant reminder to viewers of all things Oilers even when they're not remotely associated to the topic being discussed, so it makes sense. But it is strange to me the level of disdain that comes across from some of the posts for the guy.
One thing I have noticed more and more and last night during the post Vancouver game panel, it was obvious, is that there is pretty clear, strong chemistry between Elliotte, Bieksa and Hrudey during their unscripted conversations but when Ron jumps in or is pulled in, that chemistry breaks and the vibe is off. Maybe he's patiently waiting to go back to script whenever the other guys take things off script or maybe he's just not as close to them as they are to each other, but it's a bit weird and very obvious.
