While Necas is a downgrade they did get a 3rd line C that can win faceoffs they have cap space and picks to get more pieces.
Colorado was deep deep team when they won. They know what it takes and having 3 players produce won’t get it done. They also know they needed a goalie and went and got one.
While it stings to lose a player like this, Colorado wants to win cups not produce the most 100 point players.
