You know what...
First of all, that presumes that they knew it was pure abject garbage and released it anyways.
They should have taken a page out of Warner Bros. book and just ####canned the whole thing and taken the Tax Loss!
One thing that I always find fascinating. Working in the Film or TV industry. Either as an actor, a creative, crew...craft services get a pass.
But...do they ever really realize that what they're working on is absolute garbage? Like do they come to the set, get makeup and then do their lines and then go home and think....
"Oh God...that is terrible. This is going to be awful. This is going to suck. They're going to make fun of me."
Do they have that sense of self-realization?
The crew I presume just do as they're told, collect their cheques and go home, the craft services people just feed everyone (they are the real heroes!) but the creatives? You'd think they'd have to own this somehow right?
Take me for instance, when I'm working on a Tax Return I dont file it until I'm happy that it is complete and accurate and I'm happy with it.
What do these people do? Watch dailies and just have a giant red button that says "#### It" and 'thats a wrap?'
Did the director release this and rub his hands together in anticipation of witnessing his artistic vision coming to life on the big screen and then pop champagne? What? I dont understand!
