I mean yeah, you could say we got lucky that nobody claimed him, but it was a calculated risk. We also got lucky he found his game again, or, you know, the Flames knew what was best for his development and put him on that path.
To me this is an example of great management and long term vision. It’s literally the opposite of being short sighted.
