I could see an argument for commuting some of the sentence, but a full on pardon is nuts. The guys obvious committed the crimes, someone died as a result, and he made a tonne of money illegally.

Personally, I didn't mind the sentence, but I have seen reasonable arguments that it was higher than what was expected.
