Stating an aspirational goal isn't the same as actually pursuing that goal. You can't really seem to grasp that and just keep repeating that the Flames should have made themselves worse. For every vet the Flames traded in the offseason they would have had to bring in similar salary, so there isn't even a guarantee they would be a bottom ten team. Pretty much the entire hockey world had the Flames as a bottom ten team going into the season.
