It’s pretty simple in my opinion. The wealth gap is growing and typically countries are happiest when that gap is smaller and there is a healthy middle class but the tensions will increase as it continues to grow. There are a lot of arguments to be made about why the gap is growing but I think trickle down economics were the start. I just don’t believe the republicans will be the one to shrink the gap. The dems will need to start campaigning on it if they want to shift away from culture wars but they passed on their chance with Sanders.
