He wouldn’t have signed that when Marner got $10.9x6 and Matthews got $11.6Mx5 in the same offseasons. Only slight chance in hell that deal ever could have got made is if they signed him a full year out after his second year where he scored 49pts in 68 games as a sophomore but why would he have extended for 8 years a full year early?
