Yep, the only thing tanking this season does is makes sure that Montreal gets a better 1st rounder from the Flames.

The asset depreciation for trading Andersson now versus after the season probably isn't worth it. I think you could trade him after the season and still get pretty much the same deal. The difference in what you'd get probably wouldn't justify pulling the rug out from the guys who have been busting their asses all year.

If there was a chance we'd be getting a high 1st rounder, I'd be all for it, but without that, I don't see the point.
