Kevin Rooney is last on the Flame's at 2.70 xGA60, Kirkland was 2nd last, Duehr and Lomberg are 4th and 5th.
Derek Ryan is a tire fire in Edmonton too ... 2.65 ... but in a different system.
I'm not sure he'd be the answer, though his faceoff prowess would be helpful.

So Rooney gets a lot of heat but his numbers are pretty much he same as everyone on that line. I think that they are often used as the second defensive line by Huska. Plug Ryan in and I bet his numbers match.
That said, this is a move by Edmonton not so much because of Ryan, but because they need roster spots. They are full with Klingberg added.
