Klomp is on trial and apparently about to sign with with Adelaide United in the A-League. That would be a good move for him.

Interesting move for Klomp, and I hope he thrives there. It's a shame he wanted a new challenge, but totally understandable.
I see A-League as doing what the CPL should be doing with a little more ambition and less salary frugality ($2.25m AUD salary cap ($2m CAD approx.) plus "marquee player" that can make $300-600k).
A-League has a couple intriguing former big names (Juan Mata and Douglas Costa) and has had some former huge ones (Del Piero) that assuredly helps bring in casuals and football snobs. They also have a transparent collective bargaining agreement. CPL should be taking note.
