Hockey in Canada should be nationalized, with teams established in regional centres, and comprised of inhabitants in their respective communities. Management and coaches should be elected, with random citizens volunteering as sort of "assistant of the week."

Players should be fully representative of the diversity inherent in the local communities where they serve, with yearly auditions following guidelines as set out by a committee. A lottery for citizen-players will allow the lucky winner the opportunity to play at least one shift per season.
