Exactly.
Buffalo would be looking for one of two things, I suspect.
1) two way forward who can play top six now.
2) see above, player with contract control.
The Flames, arguably, have two of these players named Connor Zary and smart Coronato. Buffalo might not get that, but I bet that’s their ask.
Otherwise, it’s one of Coleman or Kadri + some future asset to offset the age gap, maybe Buffalo adds as well to balance. Problem, obviously, is I strongly suspect neither player accepts a move to Buffalo.
