2. Also, at disneyland, also chit chatting, way at the back, as the water show started the 'guard' escorted us to an exclusive area with awesome sightlines. Just for being friendly.

3. At an airshow. Looking at the Globemaster sitting on the tarmac. Start chatting with some guy in uniform. He says do we want to see inside. Of course we say yes. He takes us to the ladder. A soldier dude goes to stop us and the first guy says, they are with me, and we got a personal tour of the cockpit from the pilot (no double entendre you perverts). It was awesome.

Be kind and genuinely interested in people and good stuff happens!!
Those are awesome! I think the moral of it is, a little bit of kindness can go a very long way.

I know we bicker a lot on CP, but a beer and some kindness made my trip amazing. That beer and some kindness made that a once-in-a-lifetime trip for my wife and I that we'll never forget.

We got to go all over the island, all through the prison, it was really cool!

Honestly? They should hire that woman to re-vamp their tour.

"Do you want to sit on Al Capone's bed?"

Yes. Yes I do. And then she got them to close the cell door.

She got them to lock me into Solitary Confinement for 10 minutes...that is awful. That was an experience. I cant even imagine a prolonged period of time in there. The memory of it still makes me uncomfortable and it was only 10 minutes.

The thing is, Solitary is part of the tour, and thats fine and all. But they never close the door, you just look at the tiny room. She got them to lock me in. That was...."I'll behave."

Thats the thing about Alcatraz that she really stressed.

"This was an era that wasn't about rehabilitation. This was punishment."

And she was not wrong.
