Like they've double cast an 81 year old here. I love De Niro. But he waddles around like an 81 year old, not a 60 year old gangster. I'm sure he signed on specifically because they offered to let him play across from himself... but he's firmly in uncanny valley in that trailer.

Hollywood has always made movies to target old people using the greats of yesteryear. If anything it's more toned down now. You likely didn't notice, because you were too young to know/care who those people were.
You'd have old Western stars pumping out western movies until death sometimes. Deniro is kind of like the John Wayne of Gangster movies.
