It feels like the "gerontocracy" has a heavy handed grip on Hollywood right now.
Like they've double cast an 81 year old here. I love De Niro. But he waddles around like an 81 year old, not a 60 year old gangster. I'm sure he signed on specifically because they offered to let him play across from himself... but he's firmly in uncanny valley in that trailer.
Surely to hell with a little effort we can find a new leading man for a good series of Mafia films.
