I think the short term outlook is a lot better than the long term outlook.
Sure Kadri and Huberdeau are playing better, but they are part of the current outlook, not the future. Andersson the same. Likely Weegar also.
Our future is centred around Wolf, Coronato and Zary. Plus a stable of prospects who are some years away from even knowing if they can be part of the core or not. I expect some will be, but prospects are voodoo.
The future needs quite a bit more than filling the centre hole. That will just help keep the present being just OK for longer, and actually likely delays the real rebuild.
