As for a PP vs Carney leadership competition, I don't agree with the premise of the question. Carney's vision is wildly incondistent with anything the Conservative membership and base wants.

Turns out we will likely have that choice in an election however.
I admittedly don't know him well, but that interview was very good and a breath of fresh air.
He came across as the level headed, sensible adult that centre leaning Canadians like myself have been asking for.

Someone well suited to navigate the difficult financial times we are in, trade issues with the US and manage environmental policies that don't martyr us economically (like JT).

I was all for PP taking over from JT/Freeland, but that gave me pause. Maybe he is a better option for voters like me?
It's a shame he has to be under the Liberal banner at this time when that banner is so damaged.

Early days, it's just one interview.
Can you explain to me why my vote should go to PP and that Carney policies that are so damaging?
You haven't given any examples of his vision, or destructive policies?

I am truly one of those people who's vote would be up for grabs in a PP vs MC election, so tell me.
