It is an extremely dumb and bad move to hang on to Andersson this season. His value will be less in the summer; he's cost controlled now, can be used for the playoffs, and has a whole other year left on his contract. In summer he's closer to needing his new contract, can't add to a team's playoff position for more than 1 season, and the receiving club has less time to sell him on the resigning opportunity.
Historically, players traded at the TDL for a playoff run with a season remaining are worth more than players with just a season remaining. The single season remaining are treated more like rental players and valued as such.
This team, even if they do squeak into the playoffs, will be dusted in 4 games. And that's ok! The team is overperforming. Don't make dumb decisions based on this mirage of overperformance. Having or not having Andersson is extremely unlikely to change this result at all. It's extremely possible that they miss the playoffs and hang on to andersson, which would be a brutal scenario (and thus should be expected by us fans at this point.)
