The conservatives in Canada are pretty left of center actually. Canadians have just lost the plot in terms of where the center might be.
They support national healthcare, and a large number of public social programs. Those are not ring wing policies in any country or context.
People call them right wing, but they have very few, if any, actual policies which you could describe as right wing.
