Exactly, could not agree more. Goalies like Kipper, Brodeur amongst many others played 70+ games, lots of back to backs and didn't fatigue in playoffs. NBA load management comes to mind also after players played 82 games...
What is different now? Serious questions, if anything they have more rest in schedules now, games ( NBA and NHL ) are less physical, better conditioned players these days, more spread out dates in nhl/nba finals and so on.
