My point is that the Flames can draw a lot from within to become a better team. You can say that about any team. If a team's players aren't playing to their potential, they are not likely to win a championship. So in assessing the Flames contending chances, you also have to look at what their players are capable of.

Yeah, I do the same thing in my head and feel like I'm cherry picking too. But TBF the sample size since that line formed is getting bigger and bigger. 16 or 17 games now?
