Going forward, the Flames' centre depth is Kadri, Zary, Backlund, Kerins, and probably Honzek. What the team really needs is a 1C, there are lots of candidates for 2C and 3C. Unless one of the veteran centres is traded, I don't see the need for another middle 6 C. And no team chasing the Cup is going to trade away their 1C. The Flames could possibly trade Andersson for a centre prospect with a high ceiling who still needs a year or two of seasoning in the minors, but I'm not sure how a roster player that a playoff contender is willing to part with would improve the team much.
I do, however, agree that the Flames should continue to trade away any pieces who do not fit in their long-term plans, whenever a favourable deal is to be had for picks or prospects, or maybe a young reclamation project or two.
