Kids will take a lot of that money. I don't see GMCC being a FA big spender.
But I could see him using that space to take a player that a team wants to move so that they can grab one of the big FAs (Marner, Rantanen, Boeser).
As long as it doesn't compromise our ability to sign our kids in the future, why not? If a centre is available in the age range. Maybe BUF decides they need to move Cozens to get one of these guys and finally start their contention window. Who knows? They are a dumpster fire and anything could happen there.
