For me this isn't a weak draft at all, there are 9 really good forwards at the top end of the draft at least.

That said it's not like the Flames have any choice in the matter, Treliving gave our pick away... as of right now we'll be holding two picks in the 20s and lose the pick in the lower teens.

Always pretty tough to trade into the top 10 but with the extra 1st and extra 2nd the team can probably move up, just don't know if there's enough ammo to get a top 10. Draft pick calculator says two picks in the low to mid 20s and our early 2nd are worth about pick #9 overall though fwiw.

Flames definitely need a high end forward prospect over quantity right now and so if they can package those three picks to jump up and get a potential 1C like Ryabkin, Desnoyers or Frondell that would be fantastic.
