Walker Duehr hasn't settled down in that head space in over a year. Jakob Pelletier is back to settled again, but couldn't at the end of last season or this preseason.
Kerins was pretty poised every time the puck came his way.
Small sample size, but he's earned another game which is all he could accomplish last night. Very good start.

The poise is the big thing. The assists really could have easily not happened and you'd still be impressed that he held his own and was prepared to drive the net and use his body when needed.
We'll see where he goes with it, but guys like Duehr, Rooney and Kuzmenko should all be worried they are losing their spots with Kerins and guys like Stromgren, Morten and Honzek knocking on the door.
The Flames should be very proud of the work they have done in the AHL over the last 3-4 seasons. It is turning into a major strength and churning out NHL and systems ready players.
