Disagree. Andersson's value will be very high but I do not think it will be dramatically higher this deadline versus July 1st. You have to keep in mind that either way you are not trading Andersson as a rental because he has another year on his contract.
Trading Andersson on UFA day will give you more suitors as teams will all have cap space and roster spots to fill and many contenders will be interested in a top pairing D option that could be had for super cheap if the Flames are willing to retain. Also, Andersson could be traded with a contract extension which would add even more value as the receiving team would get that cheap player for a year and know that they get to keep the player for 8 more years after.
Even if you want to disagree on Andersson being a top pair defender, at worst he is an excellent second pairing guy who can run your second PP. That is a valueable addition to any team's core. Also, if Andersson's career following the Giordano path he could hold most of his value throughout his 30s.
Maximum value for Andersson would be to trade him on July 1st, with full retention, and a contract extension in place. Basically the receiving team would be winning July 1st 2025 and July 1st 2026 as they would be acquiring one of the best RD available.
