Yup. I've spent extensive time outside of North America. I've enjoyed traveling the world but living in most parts of the world is not my cup of tea. I generally would want to live in a house < 10 years old or one (if older) is significantly renovated up to current year standards. I like to keep up with trends and technology and really value that in the home I live as that is where I spend most of my time outside of traveling.

I offered my parents to demolish their house and rebuild them a new one as it was about 30 years old. They refused as they were attached to the home and underwent an extensive renovation job which has turned out to be a complete waste of money as the house is now even more awful as what it needed was an actual rebuild rather than putting lipstick on a pig. Now we have to wait about another 10 years for their renovations to get fully depreciated so that we can finally tear it down and rebuild a new home for them.

You live a completely unsustainable life. Just unbelievable. Let me guess, O & G?
