Iggy was keeping his teams afloat in every way possible, even if they weren't good enough on the whole.
I don't think Skinner was part of the solution for any of the bad/losing teams he was on.
Even if he was scoring a bucket of goals, was he helping in other areas, or at least doing his part to not be a part of the problems?
If he brought that kind of value, I'm not sure he's shipped out of Carolina and then Buffalo in the manner and circumstance that he was.
Both clubs deemed him to have negative value, in spite of the goal scoring ability.
Whereas clubs aspiring to win like BOS, PIT and COL lined up to acquire Iginla's services, and the Flames were very reluctant to let him go if it weren't for an impending rebuild.
