Being a center shouldn't be enough justification. Some waiver wire options have to be better nhl players than this guy.

It is strange. Hrudey loves to praise him that he is trusted on the penalty kill but I don’t get that either. The flames penalty kill has not been good. Obviously not entirely on Rooney but it’s strange to praise anyone on the penalty kill until it starts getting better. As long as Rooney has been on a regular on the penalty kill, it has not been good.
