But the fourth line is getting completely filled in and Rooney is 2nd last for forwards in xGA60 while on the PK, so he's not a specialist either.
Now the last place player is Backlund, so really it's the top pair of PK. Maybe that position (more time / against the opposition's first unit) would hurt a replacement equally as much or more?

Our team as a whole stink at faceoffs, our best player is Blake Coleman with 28 draws taken and 57% everyone else is under 47%.
I was reading an article by Trent Yawney talking about the PK and what to do if it's not working. He had some interesting comments but when it's not going well tossing the entire system and starting new isn't what you do. You make small and simple changes that guys can grasp.
I think if they put a greater emphasis on winning faceoffs just on the PK you could see some improvement being able to kill minutes and have the PP having to face a set defence to enter the zone.
