I get it. You might get a future #1 center like Misa or Hagens, but then you end up rotating through a bunch of bum goalies like the Flames did between Kiprusoff and Markstrom.
That's why the best thing to do would be to lean into having Wolf. If he keeps up his play and progresses even more, I don't think counting on the draft to produce a #1 center is smart. He'll likely be at least enough to keep us out of the top 10, and almost certainly the top 5 or 3 draft picks, where top line centers are easiest to find.
I just don't see a prosperous of successful middle path at this point.
