Day one Flames fan responding to the topic title. I still watch the games on TV but I moved to Ontario over 15 years ago. For me, who doesn’t have to pay out of pocket for tickets and is getting older the choice is simple. Tank/sell off assets and retain the pick.
Please understand that I’m not in the city anymore (although I still identify as a Calgarian having grown up there) and thus don’t pay for season tickets or attend games….This is the perspective I view it from. I’m getting older and I’d like to see some not-mid hockey for a numbers of years in a row (not one year up and one year down like we experienced recently…..real contender stuff like true winning organizations experience).
Again, I understand that I don't have the same skin in the game anymore that some of you do anymore. Having said that, the distance may have removed some of the emotion/economic pain from my opinion. I also understand that ownership, from all media reports, does not share my opinion. Go Flames Go!
