What else are you talking about, then? He’s been elevated to a top pairing role, playing with a partner who I’m sure you would agree doesn’t belong in the top pairing, and plays against other teams’ top players. His play isn’t declining, he’s just being asked to take on the hardest shifts with a partner who isn’t equipped for that role.
Now, this is far from a criticism of Bahl, he’s been a surprisingly good addition. But he's a 2nd pair D being asked to play on the top pairing.
