Like with anything else, it depends. You will be renting a vehicle from an individual owner, not a company. Turo is just a platform. You may get a good, clean vehicle and have a great experience. You may get a not so good one - smelling bad or not running well. The biggest unknown is unforeseen circumstances during rental - accidents, breakdowns, theft etc. Check your own auto insurance for coverage of those if renting through Turo. Check with Turo during booking if you can buy their insurance for this booking; it is likely worth it to avoid a huge hassle. If it breaks down on a highway, you are screwed - this is not Avis or Hertz, they will not bring you replacement within 2 hours.
