So unclear at this point if the province has raised taxes but if they don’t reduce their rate taxes increase.

My understanding is the provinces portion works just like the city's budget. They set a dollar value and divide by assessments. But its province wide not city wide. So if Calgary assessments grow faster we pay a bigger % of the total even if the province keeps the total take the same.
And since farmland is assessed using a formula that massively undervalues it ensuring they don't pay their fair share, and E=NG, I think you can expect that to continue.
