Yeah if you sign Santander you signing him to be your primary DH, with occasional starts in the OF, sort of like Joc Pederson. What he will bring is a power bat to a team that only had one player girls more than 20 HR and drive in more than 60 runs.
Regardless of what happens with Vladdy they still need to field a team and have players who can take major league at bats.
