A Pettersson trade is a trade you are when your contention window is open and you have stockpiled your prospect base and picks and graduated a bunch who are now making an impact on your team.
Sure the team is desperate for a C, but who is he coming to play with.
We seen Sutter try to patchwork a team through free agency and trades while neglecting the draft. It creates frustrating results and a pretender that fights for 8th and 9th.
We saw Treliving jump in after a fluke playoff appearance. We ended up drafting 6th the next season and never really got going with inconsistent results.
Now it’s time to be patient and build a team that can be in the playoffs a Anjali and have a legitimate 2-3 cracks at the cup.
