Why should we expect the Flames to be monumentally worse without Rasmus? If they move out Rasmus they will need to sign a dman, if only to make the cap floor. Presumably they will get something in return for Rasmus that may contribute. You have also made the point repeatedly on this forum that Rasmus is not playing very well and is diminishing his trade value. So the loss of him presumably if that is correct should not be some sort of death blow to the team.
Are we expecting Zary, Coronato, Pelletier to be worse next year? Sharangovich has had a very slow start to the season. Do we expect him to suck or suck more next year?
Wolf after tonight will have started more than 50% of the games. 8 of his starts have been against playoff teams. 11 of Vladar’s have been against playoff teams.
In any event I think it is doubtful that even if the Flames trade one guy that next season will “go like it should”, I think it is even less likely that a bunch of guys will then ask to be traded and I don’t think whatever shelter the Flames are providing Wolf will make a lick of difference if it is removed.

What’s crazy to me is we can just got back the last 4 pages and see how much you flip flop positions. Rebuild. No retool. No rebuild we will get worse. No we can be Vegas.
