I don’t disagree with you at all.
But it’s not just 1 dude, he doesn’t socialize at all outside of the room and it’s JT Miller who speaks out against it which has labeled him the problem, likely because he takes it too far, he’s been known to aggressively call out teammates which is not ok.
The Canuck’s want a team of guys who get along and play for each other, a room where everyone will go to battle for one another. JT Miller expects that from everyone and pulls them into the fight.
Sound familiar? The Flames experienced this same thing with Dougie and then promptly shipped him out even though he’s still a great player, he just didn’t fit into the culture and room. Getting along outside of the rink is quite crucial, I know you don’t have to be best friends with everyone.
Calgary wants guys who want to be Flames, want to go to battle with one another and that culture is what Craig is building.
