This is a Canadian team that hasn’t given up a single even-strength goal, but yet is struggling to win largely because it has given opponents multiple power-play opportunities every night. When you’re having trouble putting the puck in the net, that’s just a death wish.

It cost them dearly in the shootout loss to Latvia, and it cost them against the Americans, who scored three power-play goals. It simply doesn’t matter that the Canadian team has dominated every game in terms of shots on goal. They are shooting themselves in the foot, over and over, with bad penalties.
