Yeah, that's true but Weeger is four years old and even if Rasmus is having a bad stretch he's still a top pairing defender who can play top minutes, be a leader and put up points when his offensive game is going well. He's not a huge powerplay guy, which is a drawback because he does have a good shot, struggles with being the QB though.. but he has excellent mobility, toughness beyond his smaller frame, and can really skate with the puck and lead an atack when he's going.
No one should be in any rush to move this guy out. It really reminds me of when Robyn Regher struggled at 28-29 years old, and people started to right him off. No it won't be the same, so don't nitpick my comparisions but Rasmus is a core member of this team and a guy who (if he wants) you keep around during a rebuild.
