At this point there is pretty much nothing the Liberals can do to avoid burning the party to the ground other than completely admitting defeat and calling an election as soon as possible. The only way forward is the next election after this one.
A month ago the Liberals were down to 20-30 seats, now they're down to 6, at which point they will lose official party status. Hard to comprehend just how pissed off Canadians are right now. But hey 'careful what you wish for.'
The NDP on the other hand could turn their moron of a leader and whoever takes over might get a few seats to bring them into official opposition status.
But given the egos of the people involved, all not likely to happen.
