If I recall correctly, he was the "most tools + least put together" option of the top prospects. Pretty much the opposite of who the Oilers should have picked. But thankfully they are too arrogant to recognize that development is an organization weakness.
Really sucks for Puljijarvi though. I would have loved to see the player he could have become with proper support. I thought I heard that the Oilers did not even bother to hire a translator to help him, wasting development time as he struggled to learn english.
Man, looking back at those 2016 top picks with hindsight is wild.
