It would depend on what you've accomplished too. For someone like Soto whose already won a World Series he might be more interested in cashing in now regardless of the Mets' future.
For someone who hasn't won and wants to win they would be cautious about signing long-term with a team whose future is in question with two of their top players potentially leaving. I know I would be.
