Still such a puzzling naming decision by Ford. Not only is it a name that most North Americans were never really sure how to pronounce, but why give it a name that sounds like a brand you already have? They should’ve just made this thing a Mercury in the first place, since that was always trying to be a slightly more sporty brand anyway.

Gah, my mistake. I thought they squeaked into the early 90s. These were just such a wonderful oddity.
