Yeah I'm quite liking it as well. A big upgrade from New Blood and the last few seasons. It feels fresh and invigorated, the casting is spot on like others have said. It's almost too uncanny. I like how we'll get to see Dexter "evolve" his method. He hasn't perfected it yet, and is making a ton of mistakes. It's a big step up over seeing Hall wear a wig to prove that he's Dexter's younger self. It was also funny seeing him bring a vegetable tray before changing to donuts. Sarah Michelle Gellar looks great for 47! I wonder what direction they'll go with her character.
I wish they'd show how Dexter is able to fight his victims. I thought Harrison gave him self-defense lessons or trained him in combat sports, as a lab geek straight out of college should be getting beat.
I'm glad we know Dex is "alive" as well. Why hide the fact that they're reversing the course on the finalie of New Blood. Nobody liked how the series ended, so they can bring back Dexter and forget about all that nonsense. For that matter why not bring back Debra? That's what people want, and she never should have been killed off to begin with. They can write off season 8, or say it was a coma fantasy. Don't bring back Harrison either, get back to what worked earlier in the series.
