Coronato looks equally impressive. I know the team is still leaning heavily on the vets (Huberdeau, Kadri, Backlund and Coleman) up front but it’s great to see Zary and Coronato doing so well. They are the offensive drivers whenever they are on the ice.

If the Flames get a couple more Zary/Coronato-caliber forwards out of the crop they drafted last June then things are going to start looking up from a talent perspective. The superstar guy every one is clamoring is most likely to be had in the 2026/2027 drafts.
But I'm liking the way the supporting cast is shaping up. Those guys are for real and will only get better. It feels good to have talent home-grown instead of bought through UFA, or however the former, direly impatient regimes did it.
Getting the bulk of a player's best years and being the team to hand pick them is always better.
